The range , however , would be anywhere from 400 to with some feet from the troops. Missions can be accomplished without any illumination by trying only the image intensifiers. This keeps costs down with little, low power and light-weight sizes for easy transport. Don't forget as you wear the cheap night vision goggles, you may experience tunnel vision since all peripheral vision is cut off within the eyepiece. Constant movement will let you detect your environment. Judging accurate distances can become difficult, as larger subjects seem closer than they are and vice-versa. Vision drops from 20/20 to 20/25. The good news is, you can see.
